I hope you’re doing better...time...along with positive thoughts will help your grieving/healing process. I’m a married man and have already explained to my wife, if I pass before her, that I would want her to move on with her life...but proceed cautiously. Real love ones will never forget and visit the place of burial (etc.) with flowers and a quick chit-chat (light humor). Thanks for sharing your heartfelt experience.

I had to laugh when you talked about finding someone to invest your money for you. The guidance counselor at the school I work in offered to do this. Um, thanks no. I will use a certified financial planner.

Being alone can be an amazing luxury. If you love yourself and your own company, then whatever you do is up to you and can be so very sweet. Treat yourself well. Freedom is a great gift and also a great responsibility. Learn how to use it. Just don't forget the pleasures of old friends and new ones, too.
