THE MOSES CODE – The Movie – A review

The Moses Code: The Most Powerful Manifestation Tool in the History of the World
James Twyman is the force behind The Moses Code – the Movie. I met James when his book, Emissary of Light, came out. The movie is based on his book, The Moses Code which has just been published.

His first book was a recounting of his journey as a peace troubadour and his visit to Bosnia to do a peace concert in the middle of the war.

He is a talented musician and singer. He told me that when he was young he was torn between “being a rock star and a priest.” He did go into the seminary for a while. And he has become a rock star in the peace movement all over the world.

I did two half hour TV shows with him and he had even our hard boiled camera crew in tears when he sang his version of the Prayer of St. Francis. I think the prayer should be repeated here, in part, because even reading it touches our hearts.

When my mother died, I did her eulogy and read the prayer because it was her favorite.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

In a way, the movie is about that prayer – and has a remarkable similarity to A Course in Miracles which is based on love and forgiveness of everyone. I was not surprised at this because James has studied the Course for years.

There is a part in the movie, which includes many of our favorite self-help authors, where Neale Donald Walsch talks with his usual eloquence about how we are One with everything. He said he went around one day looking at the grass, the people, and children playing and kept repeating the statement, “I am that.”

The movie mixes in some of the principles of The Law of Attraction – except that you conceive in your mind or even on paper what you want and profess “I am that.”

I think if I were to sum up The Moses Code – The Movie, I would say much of it is the foundation of all religions and spiritual thought.

Here you can look at a trailer of the movie to get an idea of it.

There is nothing new here but it is an important piece a work, beautifully filmed, to remind all of us what we already know. It is worth seeing for that purpose all by itself.

At present, this film is being shown in small venues all over the country and is available on DVD for purchase. James Twyman’s book is available now in bookstores and on Amazon.

It reminds us that we are truly our brother’s keeper.

Actually, we are our brother.

A follow up on my article Girl Shaves Head for African Children -:

Our little brother’s keeper, Aviana, has raised over $1000. in her efforts of helping build schools in Uganda. She is the little ten year old who shaved her head to bring attention to her fund raising which is connected to the Moses Code project.

To keep up with Aviana’s progress – and to help by sending her a donation go to – Divine Purpose Unleashed

I hear the word “Moses” and I immediately think -those fear/guilt-based religions and just sign off but listening to this little video has caught my interest. I do remember this man on your show and remember him singing the St. Francis prayer. I think I’ll buy the book …. So Corinne, everything old is new again and here you are- promoting these precious authors in your new venue — your blog. I just love it. They’ll soon flock to you again. Think I’ll write a book so you can interview me on your site.

Dear Grace -

The DVD would also be interesting to you because all of your favorite self-help authors have cameos. It is nice to see them again after having them – sometimes several times – on my TV show.

It would be lovely if they would “flock to me” again. I miss them.

I saw this movie and I must say that it was very thought provoking. I feel that the basis or the main element was glossed over in the fact that with everything that they were saying, if all you do is focus on being pure Unconditional Love, then you will achieve everything they mentioned in the video. (Actually it is just Love because to say Unconditional Love makes it conditional…. but that is another discussion). That is the birthright of our beingness. When we are being Love, we are no longer separated from ourselves and others, and what we see in others is Love, for we cannot see in another what doesn’t exist within ourselves….. That is why people are such great mirrors for us.

I’ve rambled on long enough…..

I saw this movie too. It was just okay. I think it tried very hard to be like The Secret which was very good film because it was original at the time. I was a little disappointed that they are flogging the Moses code as the sequel to the Secret – it’s not. The other film claiming to be a sequel to the secret was in fact much better and more suited to be a sequel – the Opus. But it shouldn’t be compared either. I found that The Opus was a much more practical movie and was more inspirational to watch. This was a film I feel more confident recommending. far better than the moses code.
