SESAME STREET

In the travel business,

you get some odd requests.

A client called, routine, except,

he wanted to bring a bird

to a funeral in Florida.

His brother loved the bird.

It was an only child.

They had lived together

for a very long time.

“A bird?”  No problem.

Put him in a little box with holes.

We’ll get him on the plane.

“The bird is rather large,” he said.

 “How big?” I asked,

(It sounded like a Bob Newhart routine)

“The size of a turkey.”

A big bird.

To a funeral in

Florida.

Carried in the cabin,

with the passengers.

Turned out he even talked.

He attended the funeral.

We have to help each other.

Oh was that funny – I just love bird stories and this is a gem. Something I read today: It was beautifully written and exactly how I have always felt —
“Love is the most powerful and still the most unknown energy in the Universe’. I believe “god” is love in all its forms.
“god”-ness is what you did for your client and his big bird.
