NEW LOVE – a poem

by Corinne on September 8, 2007

I want to love you newborn

history gone

forgiveness certain

no ghosts of Christmas past  -

to leave behind

the trailing rubbish of a lifetime

the splitting bags

of collected pain  -

to reach out with empty arms

no ancient crimes

etched on our hearts  -

just innocent children

bare of backdrops

without credentials  -

New.

I don’t know when you wrote it, but it was written for me.

Happy Birthday Day ….. You are a joy and a blessing to the planet.
