LOVE LETTER TO SOMEONE – SOMEWHERE

by Corinne

divorce LOVE LETTER TO SOMEONE SOMEWHERE

Everyone speaks of meaningful relationships,

commitments.

Those are flimsy words.

I want more than that.

I prefer old fashioned words  like loyalty, friendship, trust -

and being so attuned,

that as I wake, I am thinking of you.

So enmeshed,

your hope, your courage, even your madness is mine.

Entwined, boundaries overlapping.

Where you begin, I am ending.

Don’t waste your meaningful relationships on me.

Don’t bore me with your significant others,

your commitment talk.

It is not enough.

I want to be family,

laughing in a kitchen, cuddling in the morning,

books, a fireplace, walks after dinner.

I need no other company but yours.

I want you scorched upon my heart.

Solidly soldered. Indelibly centered.

Joined in living. A simple loving.

Belonging.

I wrote this poem several years ago to a man I loved who loved me but would not marry me.  I don’t think it is in any of my books.

I dedicate it to anyone who is sad to be single at this holiday season -

And to Jamie – who is now  – somewhere beyond the stars.

I agree, Nancy – my BFF

If the passion is not there…..why bother.

It does not come around too often and even if you lose, it is worth it.

Thanks, Kathy -

Poetry has always been my favorite medium. There is more in my book, A Woman Without A Man. More lighthearted and funny.

Beautiful. I am very blessed in love, but don’t anyone who may not be at this holiday season, give up, because it is never to late and you never know when that love is right around the corner. As they say, keep an open heart and love will find its way.
Thank Corinne, you are so talented with your writing.

As I remember your story, it took you some time to find the perfect “one.”

We all love success stories, Debbie.

Yes, it did Corinne and the wait was well worth it. Sometimes I feel that we have to learn more about ourselves, before we are ready for the perfect one. I did find when I quite looking, that is when he appeared.

I agree with Michelle that this reminds those of us that are happily married, just how lucky we are. I write out each morning, 10 things I am grateful for, and my sweet Hungarian is always one of the 10 things I am oh so grateful to have in my life.

Another lucky one.

So nice, Sharon, to have you happily marrieds chime in here. We always hear about the disasters.

You mention your sweet Hungarian often to me. One day I hope to meet you both in person.

Corinne

I found the ‘one’ 27 years ago via a blind date and we dance in our kitchen!

It’s funny I have never written a love letter or poem.

I’m going to print this off and give it to my wife…I won’t pretend I wrote it…honest!

Dear Andrew -

Love the visualization of you and Joy dancing in the kitchen. I should have put that in the poem.

You can pass it off as your own. I’ll never tell.

Hello Corinne

Thank you for sharing this. I am so humbled and lucky, just like Andrew, I dance in my kitchen with my beloved and in this moment, right now, while I write…My heart and eyes filled with joy and thanks for that type of abundance.

thank you

You are welcome, Vickie.

You and Andrew could start a new trend.

My kitchen is too small for dancing – but big enough for a hug.

Do you understand that it is high time to get the business loans, which will realize your dreams.
