A year ago this week, I became a blogger. I had three readers. Two relatives and one friend.
It happened rather accidently. I have a Life Coach practice and a woman was recommended to me who is a blogger. I was not quite sure what a blog was. Pretty embarrassing.
But I caught a break. She was scheduled for a radio interview and they had asked her to supply the questions. They were supposed to appeal to an audience who knew nothing about blogging.
Whoever was listening would have asked, “WHAAAT DID SHE SAY?” The questions were far too advanced.
So guess. I did the questions for her. Starting with, “What is a blog?”
Guess again. I said, “Hey! I can do that!”
You’ve been stuck with me ever since.
I know this is not going to impress you veteran bloggers. But I had 5975 people read my articles this past month! This is a shocking number to me. It is an improvement of 5972 in a year!
I thought I would celebrate by putting up my most read blogs for your review and old time’s sake.
Here they are -
The Past – Holding on – Letting go
Got a Problem? – Just flake out for a while
When Your Husband Has Died – A survival guide
Making New Best Friends – A tutorial from Arlene
The Big Idea – When to bail out
In Defense of the Governor’s Ho
THANK YOU – TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO CAME BY. I AM OVERWHELMED BY YOUR SUPPORT.
AND SPECIAL THANKS TO EACH ONE OF YOU WHO COMMENTED.
The comments are the most fun. I try to answer every one. Many of you have become my new best friends.
KEEP COMING BACK!
I am loving it!

Happy Blogging Birthday, Corinne. I can’t believe I have been blogging a few weeks longer than you. My one-year-old birthday was June 1. It feels like we have been around longer than just a year. I have been blessed so much by the friendships that have started from blogging, yours included. See you around next year and the year after and the year after that.
Happy Birthday to your Blog, my dear! It is a gift to all of us…so delighted for your success. See? Sometimes the good guys do win!
Blessings and love,
Regina

Dear Patrica -

Here’s to our friendship – forever!
Dear Luxury -
Thanks for coming by with your good wishes. The numbers just seem to come. We just have to do the workand not pay attention. No one is more surprised that I am.
And Michelle -
I am proud and grateful that I can call you my super techie. I can’t count the number of messes you have bailed me out of.
Many thanks.
I know how proud of your accomplishment you must feel. You have a great blog because it truly helps your readers.
Dear Birney – my favorite fix it and solve it man!
Thanks for your nice message.
Your blog is unique. You really HELP your readers!
Dear Linda -
You have been with me through many ventures. And supported them all.
Thanks for your good wishes. You are a very valued friend!
And I am that one friend and immensely proud to be a small part of your beginning as a blogger. I have passed your blog on to so many friends – I just know you advice and insight is out there doing its Light work. You even got me started and so far, I have 5 comments and you are the first!!! Exciting to be part of this new way of communications and forward and next.
Congratulations—I know how much work it is and I know how much fun you are having.
You are an inspiration. Well done.
Rod
Congratulations Corinne! I’m so very proud of you – you’ve taken giant leaps and here you are. You’re still in the blogging world – most people would have given up by now.
Sadly that’s the case – a newbie would get all fired up, start a blog, grow an audience but then peter out after a few months or a year, discouraged at the slow rate of growth or whatever.
But you made it! You go girl.

Dear Stephen -
You were one of my FIRST supporters. You were fairly new yourself and were encouraging me.
Now, this week you are quoted in Forbes and in a blog in China.
Who knew?
Congratulations yourself!
Dear Grace -
You are absolutely right. You were that first “friend” I talked about. And you have been here ever since.
Thanks for hanging out with me, my good friend!
Looking forward to your blog and your progress!
Corinne:
I never forget who helped me when I was just getting started in anything. I somehow have this need to make sure people know how much I appreciate them and because I know how that feels, I want to extend the same courtesy to others – like when you were getting started.
And now look at you! Your blog had almost 6000 visitors last month.
Let me turn the tables and say back to you: “Who knew?”
What’s next? 10,000 visitors a month?
