I consider your words on the divine qualities of compassion very close to my own heart’s aspirations. As you so rightly say, it’s not so much the words or the “normally accepted” meaning of the words that is important. I would venture also that it is more an acceptance of and openness towards others as they are. That takes compassion to the unconditional level where we are free of expectations. We may still quietly proffer our own preferred values and inner wishes of well-being to individuals as they can be seen as a part of all we communally experience. I may be late for your birthday but I wish you a wonderfully fruitful and compassionate New Year. I consider your words on the divine qualities of compassion very close to my own heart’s aspirations.
