I just turned (gasp!) 41 and when cashiers in stores call me "Ma'am," I often look behind me to find whatever elderly lady is there. Usually it's a much younger person wondering why the approaching middle-age lady is pivoting on her shopping cart rather than unloading it.

I am trying every day now to appreciate the white hairs coming in, the tiny wrinkles, and most importantly, the wisdom that hopefully I have gained from even my minimal experience in the world.

Thanks so much for helping me transition to adulthood.

Dear Peg - There is nothing wrong with being 65 - everything is right including social security and medicare! That will be less monetary burden for anyone brinking on that age.

Plus there is everything right with you - in every way!

And by the way, you look GREAT!

Love and thanks for your wonderful comment!

Bravo - rather Brava!! I am up-to-here with women who lie about their age. We are the ones who caused this and we are the ones who can stop it ... This face and all it's lines and sags are mine and I am proud of it. It's time we stop this age and weight thing ... only in America!!!! If anyone asks me - I'm 64 and will be 65 in a blink -- Something wrong with that?

I love this piece, however, I have to share that most of my friends are much younger than I am. I love their enthusiasm for life. I'd rather be carried along with the tide of plans and hope than to sit and listen to people complain about their aches and pains.

There is something in Religious Science (the Spiritual philosophy founded by Ernest Holmes) that is called 'race mind consciousness.' It means that when a large group of people hold something to be true, it is accepted regardless of fact. An entire generation for example believed if you went outside with a wet head you'd catch a cold.

And you know what Jesus said: It shall be done unto you according to your word. My clients (I am a professional organizer) will tell me that within two weeks of tossing something, they find they need it. They ask me what they should do. I suggest they get to the root of the 'consciousness of lack' that underlies that belief system. Before they do that, they should in fact not toss anything out because...it shall be done unto them as they believe!

For me the secret of life is staying vested not only in the reality of now but in keeping my focus on how each and every day I can be of service to humanity. I think it's the fountain of youth myself!

Blessings,
Regina
