ENDLESS LOVE

by Corinne on August 21, 2008

The pain is gone.

The giant tear I clutched,

uncried,

has leaked away.

Only the love is real.

It shimmers in my mind

like a golden sun at dawn.

Our arguments, the jealousies,

imagined treasons, bitter words,

have all dissolved

and only tender memories remain -

of gentle mornings,

football games,

meals prepared and cleared away -

the tuneless songs you hum

and prayers we prayed.

No accidently joining ours!

A collision caused in time!

A karmic roller-coaster ride!

with hairpin turns

and high sky dives!

But now at last

peace has arrived.

Explosions gone.

The walls thrown up in grief

have tumbled down.

And now -

no longer blind

my heart can find

the quiet,

endless love

you are

inside.

I’ve had that experience where I’ve dreamt about someone who I thought was long forgotten. Powerful. I’ve also felt like sometimes it was the other person dreaming about me, and then I tapped into it.
Beautiful poem too.

Dear Michelle -

That is the most thought provoking comment. Wonder if it is true.

This dream was so much clearer than any I had before. It almost seems as though there may have been the power of two dreams colliding!

Nice thought. Like it.

I enjoyed your point of view… finally someone said the right thing! :) Would you mind terribly if I place a link back from my site at whiterabbitcult.com?
