BLOGGERS HAVE ANGELS TOO!

by Corinne on December 7, 2007

I could not believe my eyes.

This is the message that greeted me when I logged into my blog the other night.  My friends who read it were getting the same.

Your Internet Protocol address is listed on a blacklist of addresses involved in malicious or illegal activity. See the listing below for more details on specific blacklists and removal procedures.

I had just upgraded my Norton Internet Security.  Was it some kind of a horrible virus they had missed?

Ran a full scan which takes a million years.  Nothing came up.  Ran it again in case they missed something.

Nothing again. It was midnight and I was bleary eyed.

Sent a message to the server who hosts my blog.

No answer in the morning except they were looking into it.

To make matters worse, my techie buddy, Michelle, was on vacation.  She bails me out when I am in trouble.  If you have not seen her wonderful blog, let me give her a plug here.  http://www.consciousdestiny.com.

To solve this problem, I needed to find out where it was coming from.

I remembered a conversation I had with Sonia Choquette, the famous author, seminar leader and intuitive.  She had been on my TV show several times.

Sonia said we all had “helper angels.”

Now, I am not that big on angels.  Not against them, but if I have a need I generally go to the Top.

But, from time to time, if I lost my car keys or I had misplaced a book I needed or other many small requests, I remembered Sonia.  I could hardly believe it, but everytime I asked, I was led to where the missing items were.

I want to precede this story by telling you that technically, I am pretty much of a disaster. I am a writer not a techie.

The very idea I could investigate it was pretty far fetched.

I decided to ask the “helper angel.”  Did they know anything about technology?

Staring at my beloved ruined blog, my eyes suddenly went to the very bottom of the page.

There in tiny, tiny print was a statement that the blog was protected by a software program called “Bad Behavior.”

For some reason, I clicked on the name.  I don’t know why.

There it was. A statement from them. They had been transferring blogs and had made a disastrous mistake and included probably thousands of blogs to a warning format reserved for the worst of the spammers in the universe.

But, now at least I knew where it was coming from. I believe I was led to it.

Through the day, other servers and bloggers were informed as the news spread.

They had a “patch” for it.  (A WHAT?)

Fortunately, Michelle arrived home from vacation and when I sent her the information as to where this message and block was coming from, she fixed it in a second!

I thought it was my duty to inform bloggers that even we have a “Helper Angel!”  I bet you didn’t know.  And everyone else reading this!

Works for me!  Thanks to Sonia Choquette. And, Michelle, my private angel.

Look into Sonia’s new book which is featured here.  She will give you support and more confidence in your intuition!

WoW! I loved this story, especially because of the angel reference. I’m a big believer that we are guided by angels. They are there, ready to help us as long as we ask for it.

I’ve been helped by angels in numerous ways but this one tops them all! Congratulations for listening to your intuition and following through. That’s the key in hearing them – simply by listening to your inner spirit.

I loved it! I actually wondered how you came to discover the problem and had been meaning to ask you but when I opened your email notification of a new post, there it was! You must have read my mind for I was going to send you an email asking how you came to discover the problem.

GREAT STORY!

Thanks so much for the plug Corinne. As you know I love Sonia’s stage energy. I was recently going to see her, and lost my ticket. The post I wrote about finding my ticket was calling in my three year old daughter for help…:) You can click on the link above if you are interested in reading the story. Thanks again for the plugs! Glad to help. (Now I’ve gotta go fix bad behavior!)

And fix it, you did!

Thank you!

Loved the story about your daughter. Angels come in all shapes and little sizes!

I was living the nightmare with you all along the way Corinne. i think all bloggers would have been biting their nails as your story unfolded. And I do love a story to have a happy ending.

Dear Karen -

Wish I had known you were biting your nails too. I would have sent my angel right over.

Yes, it had a happy ending and Bad Behavior is back scrapping all that spam and being Good Behavior!

Very nice story Corinne! You know what was funny, I didn’t believe in angels, until someone said ask for something small, like a parking space. One Friday night I was looking for one on a very crowded spot, and I was about to give up when I remembered and asked for one. Got one in five seconds. Kinda shocked me.

Cheers!

You know, Albert, I am not a big angel person either. All I know is that it works. I cannot argue with that.

Somehow, if there is such a thing as “helper angels” I get the impression they are somewhere in the lower angel group. They help with lost car keys etc. Not the huge life changing decions.

But, what do I know? Nothing.

In my Catholic family, it was St. Anthony that did this job. I can still remember my elderly aunts saying, “I would ask St. Anthony but I owe him money from the last time he found my glasses.”

St. Anthony wanted money for his poor for his assistance. Does anyone remember that?

I am a poor struggling mortal like everyone else and I will take all the help I can get.

The “helper angels” have not asked for any payment. Yet.

But, I am willing to pay.

HI Corinne,

I’ve surfed to your site from Stephen Hopson’s.
I’m sorry to say this is my first time here and I am enjoying your blog. I’ve read quite a few articles today and thought I would comment on this one.

Having been raised Catholic, I think those elderly aunts of ours were LED to believe that one had to make regular monetary donations for the help that they received.

Don’t worry about those angels coming to collect, IF they could I do believe they would suggest you…

I am a huge fan of angels. Do you know that you can ask angels to assist others ? You can send your angels to encamp around someone who needs the care. What a fun thought huh ?

PS…….. I shared your link to widows survival guide to a friend who lost her husband a few years ago. I know it will be a good and comforting read for her.

Dear Deb -

Thanks for coming in on the discussion.

I am also a great believer in angels. And, since my kids travel a lot, I send them along with them.

Nice that you found me via Stephen. I have never met him but consider him a close friend. The personal growth community is just so wonderful and supportive of each other.

I hope your friend benefits from my article, When Your Husband Has Died. It was written from my own experience and my heart.
