“James Kavanaugh is America’s poet laureate. His words and ideas touch my soul. I can think of no living person who can put into words what we have all felt so deeply in our inner selves.” Wayne Dyer

Well my gosh…where have I been that I have never heard of this great man? I feel like a complete country bumpkin. I have just completed watching the first part and Corinne, you have shined a light for me, as well as always being a shining light, and I thank you.

Hi Sharon -
Yes, he was quite a famous author and poet. Look at the link on the bottom – The Web Page of James Kavanaugh.
His book, A Modern Priest Looks at his Outdated Church caused a sensation. It was on the New York Times best seller list in the late 60’s for months.
I remember seeing him on talk shows while I was still living in New York. He was everywhere.
Long before I met him in the middle 80’s at a seminar. He was a real charmer. And became a very close friend.
He also published by book, Love Waits on Welcome … and other miracles which I believe you have.l
I am disappointed I did not get a chance to meet him. He really was an amazing person. Thanks for sharing that.

Yes, Dawn, you came into our lives after James Kavanaugh left Chicago after a long stay.
Your husband was just a kid when he met him and loved him. And Jim returned it.
I know you have read his poetry. This will give you a chance to see him in person.
