7 RANDOM THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT ME
I have been tagged by Brad Baggett at http://juiceofchampions.com to write an article on 7 random things that you may not know about me and then tag another blog. It is called a “meme” which is a word I had never heard before.
It’s almost like a progressive dinner because each of us chooses another blogger we feel you should know about. He chose me. It was quite a wonderful surprise and he said great things about my blog. How nice is that? If you click on his link above you can see what he said.
It sounded like fun so I am going to do it. Here is more than you ever needed to know about me.
1. I am a life coach and I pride myself in knowing a lot about business and people, mainly because I have made so many mistakes myself in the past. Fortunately, some success along the way too!
A client was recommended to me who is a blogger. WHAT? I was not sure what a blogger was so you can imagine my embarrassment. I didn’t know where to start with her.
Fortunately, in our first session, she told me she was booked for a radio interview and the interviewer had asked her to supply the questions.
The questions she had prepared would have been way over the head of most people so I said, “Let me do the questions for you.”
That was my introduction to blogging. I started with, “What is a blog?” - “How is it different from a webpage?” – “How do you start a blog?” And on and on. Simple, basic questions that the completely uninformed person like me would want to know.
At the end of the interview, I knew what I had to know about becoming a beginning blogger. I was off and running!
2. I have been a widow for many years. Yes, I have had relationships along the way but it does not look like it is in the cards for another marriage in this lifetime. (Unless you know someone?)
3. I am a grandmother of three children. All beautiful, talented and of course brilliant. Each one of them is slated to be President in turn. The Bush Dynasty ain’t seen nothin” yet!
4. I am a writer. A techie I am not. Fortunately, I found a wonderful guy by the name of Glenn in Texas who is and he bails me out all the time. He is very patient. He is also a volunteer tornado chaser. You meet some fascinating people on line!
6. I am a very good cook. My kids keep trying to take holidays away from me and until now I have resisted. My son and daughter-in-law are doing Thanksgiving this year. We’ll see if I don’t drive them too crazy.
7. The thing I love to do is blog. The most surprising thing to me is that it is like a small town. You start to make friends. From all over the world. And they help you.
Christine Kane, who has a great blog, wrote me an email the first week. I didn’t know her. She told me to make my titles more applicable to the content so that Google could find them and to make the posts shorter. Great advice and I have followed it.
I have many other secrets but this is enough already!
Of course, my pick for a blog you should know about is
See my next post for details on why!
How cool and I just got the idea to write 7 things people don’t know about me…. however, I will not publish them.
I didn’t know you were a life coach - what does that mean? what does it cost and do you do telephone meetings or does it have to be in person. I’ve met so many so-called “coaches” in my business and I swear most of them could not find their way out of a paper bag. Don’t you think being a really good coach means having a lot of life experiences and that usually comes with age - as does wisdom. I don’t know too many “wise” 25 year olds?
Dear Karen -
Here is an article I wrote a while back on Life Coaching. It would probably answer most of your questions.
As to if you need to be older - I qualify on that one. I know enough not to go into the paper bag now!
Here is the article!

Week by week, blog by blog, inch by inch I get to know a bit more about you as an individual — your values and experiences and general persona. It’s been like putting togather a 4,000 piece jig saw puzzle with no guiding finished picture to help and I’m not much further along than the first 100 pieces. But, I’m emjoying the process and I will finish the project.
My favorite blog so far has been the statement you made on your mother’s birthday. That had class and a lot of heart — and so, too, did she.

Hello Corinne:
It has been some time since we “talked” — how are you?
I wish you could meet my sister — you two would have a ball together!
She’s visiting her grandchildren in Australia at the moment but lives permanently out of a suitcase and travels the world (on no money!) after leaving a sad and troubled marriage which lasted 37 years.
Her official home is in South Africa but she spends time here (USA) with my children and me on a regular basis.
Have a wonderful rest of the day — whenever you read this.
